Was ok against a much improved Chelsea team. Lenglet looks shaky. Diaby struggling a bit too. Main thing is we didn’t lose though. Emi is massive for us.

Chelsea were very good tonight. Thought we dug in well and Emi by far MOTM. McGinn and Konsa very good. It’s something to be disappointed we only drew away at Chelsea. Hope we get our form back. Torres a huge loss - Lenglet very shakey.

Decent for twenty minutes, not sure how we survived the amount back passes and botched clearances, Emi both the king and the joker.

Why did we bring Bailey on with 2 mins to go?? Lack of subs was baffling.

Hoping it's mainly ring rust, but we've been this way for a while now, the break was meant to help....

Meh, didn’t really want the replay but given how poor we were, individually and collectively for most of the game I suppose we’ll take it.

We only really started to look semi competent once Chelsea tired (after their midweek exertions), we seem to have lost that spark and cohesion, perhaps the result of our worst patch of injuries. 
 

Going to need to improve to get through to the next round and for the rest of the season in general if we want to even get close to achieving our aims.

Chelsea dominated first half, Villa the slightly better team second half.

Woeful first half  (except first ten minutes) dominated the second half and their keeper made some good saves especially the one from cash. Would have taken a win or a defeat. Replay isn’t ideal.

That was a really good game for a 0-0, Chelsea were pretty strong tbf. Replay not ideal, but glad to still be in it and glad we imposed ourselves on the game in the last 30

Emi MOTM. Much better second half when they didn't manage to keep the intensity up. We had plenty of chances to win this and should have scored. But then again so should they if it wasn't for Emi.

We clearly have a bunch of players who are out of form like Diaby, Tielemans, Lenglet, Cash, Moreno and maybe Waktins and some more. Still we managed a draw away to Chelsea who supposedly have turned a corner (again...) so I'll take it.

We are missing Pau something spectacular thou.

We couldn't solve Chelsea's press in the first half and badly missed Pau.

The second half was brighter. In Unai we trust, as always.

A replay is not what we need when everyone is fatigued already. I would have rather have had the tie decided tonight one way or the other.

Emi has to be MOTM, but Kamara was a close second.

As mad as it seems i sometimes think it is a tactic to let high press teams run out of energy and then start going for it. Fair result. Back to VP ( with sensible pricing please Heck)

Much better second half, however there is a significant drop in quality compared to what we’ve seen over the last 12 months - was to be expected, title winning form probably isn’t our level.

Thought we played well in the second half but our goals drying up is a massive concern.

Under the cosh for most of the first half and the first 15 minutes of the second but basically dominated the last half hour which bodes well.  

I'm more confident for this second half of the season now.  It was still Chelsea away, they're getting their shit together. A good hard fought draw that we ended up looking the most likely to win.
