Hopefully the Bailey resurgence will show Diaby can recover soon

He will.

He’s a top player low on confidence. Just the performances at the start of season show that and his performances at Leverkusen as well.

Thought Rogers cost him last night. That pass was poor and Diaby had to really change his run to get to it (speed seemed back though!).

He did well to make a chance from it in the end but Rogers lack of instinct to keep running limited Diabys options, he still found someone in the box and a poor shot from Rogers.

Think if Dougie had been playing the original pass to Diaby, he'd have had a chance on goal himself

He gets more latitude that Zaniolo because he's permanent, in my opinion.  Both are struggling to make their mark but Diaby will come good as he's got real pedigree.

Diaby will get as much latitude as possible given that he's our record signing. We can't afford for him not to work out. Zaniolo is on loan, its no biggie (smalls) if he doesn't stay after this summer.

Diaby's also been a whisker away from a couple of truly beautiful goals for us this season, thinking the volley at home to Everton that Pickford tips onto the post, and that superb touch and finish that was a toenail offside against Palace. He's struggling for confidence at the mo but he's certainly shown in large patches what he's about and I think it's down more to misfortune that his record for us isn't at least slightly better!

Great cross and good play before it. But when he gave the ball away near the end 😬

Still, have to look at the positive and his assist won us the game.

Not his first crucial cross too. Served up the beauty to save a point at Bournemouth away.

Destined to be moved out wide but now at a log jam with Bailey.

Very happy to see him contribute, happy for us obviously but mainly happy for him, hopefully that is a nice boost of confidence for him

Huge wake up call Rogers getting the nod above him.

Not really, it’s was more like for like as opposed to Roger’s being above Diaby in the pecking order. The way we were playing was creating problems, was t really a game for 2 proper wide men, that’s not how we play.
