Mark Albrighton Posted June 13, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted June 13, 2023 For what it’s worth the form of the Sky six on the opening day of the season over the past five seasons (starting with 18/19 season on the left) - WWWLW Citeh WWLWL Man Utd WWWWD Liverpool LWWLW Arsenal WLWWW Chelsea WWLWW Spurs I do have that perception of wanting to have one of the big teams first up, get at them before they get into gear, so to speak. But seemingly it’s not really based on any real truth. Over the 30 opening games listed, the big six have won 22. Also worth bearing in mind that a couple of these opening days involved two of the six facing each other - Man Utd played Chelsea on the opening day a few years back, Spurs beat City at the start of last season.
