Match Thread: Villa v Leeds

This is reminiscent of a Gerrard performance. Not helped by the fact that Leeds are being allowed to kick the shit out of us. Confident Unai will sort a few things out at half time.

Why? Has no impact to the final available sub period in the second half. We don’t lose any sub period if we make sub or two half time.

I didn't know that

so we can make 5 subs total in 3 stops + ht? And we've made 2 stops already

I don think we won a second ball all that half. It's only for Kamara's brilliance that we are ahead.

Give Bailey some credit for the finish too. And really poor Leeds defending!

The 5 subs have to be made in 3 lots and we've already had 2, no?

Luiz is off pace, Buendia is poor, and Ramsey is clearly not sharp in his first start in over 2 months.

Emery isn’t stupid. Luiz, Buendia and Ramsey’s days at the Villa are numbered!

Not one mention by the commentators over just how good Kamara was in that first- half. He's only 23, he's the football equivalent of Van Morrison, that's how old Morrison was when he wrote Astral Weeks.

Brian Wilson was still 23 when Pet Sounds was released.

I think so too

Pure kick and rush, no identifiable patterns of play or style

Really disappointing imo

One issue we have is Moreno's positioning as we transition. We've not had time to work on the training ground and he's often too high for Mings to pass to, forcing us back.

Moreno has been good after being thrown in but these sort of things are going to make it harder for us.

Same with Watkins going off, we have zero outlet to hold the ball up.
