    On the Diaby or Bailey question, for me it doesn’t work when we start both, so as long as the one starting on the bench impacts like we want, I am happy either way. Also, I took Diaby out of my Fantasy team, so he’s bound to score a hat trick tonight!

    Let’s be fair, Morstar came to ‘not concede’ - if they could score on the break, bonus. They very nearly achieved it and fair play to their defence and especially their keeper. We’re not good enough yet at being the team expected to win, and go and break teams down - but we will have learned a lot tonight and will get better at it. UTV

    Not an excuse - I think Newcastle were by far the better team and deserved to win, but the Mings injury did us no favours defensively.

    A pretty familiar starting 11, which is probably the right choice considering we are opening at St James Park. Looking forward to it - UTV!

    What a game!! We were absolutely class and didn’t allow Newcastle to play. When did we last hit 50 points?

    That hit was unbelievable. He appeared to take a good touch and instantly smashed it off the crossbar. There must have been some power behind that! I hope this is the start of things to come!

    Absolutely insipid - we are toothless in the middle of park, Buendia just fell over when giving the ball away for the second goal. We just need to show some fight in the second half
