Popular Post useless Posted January 25, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted January 25, 2022 If someone had have told me at the start of the transfer window that we were going to try and sign Bentancur I wouldn't have believed it possible, if he'd have been linked to any Premier League side other than one of the traditional 'top six' I would have doubted it. If he signs he will be our best midfielder, and one of our very best players, probably the biggest signing in terms of profile and potential of the last ten years other than Coutinho. You have to bear in mind that Juve are in a different stratosphere to us currently. Their dominance in Serie A in recent years is incredible, and he had played a big part in that. Their level and bar is probably much higher than ours currently. This is akin to signing a Man City regular, for context. Also, an absolute wealth of international pedigree and only 24.
