Ask yourself if it's the other way around do you want the goal disallowed?

Of course you do

The other way round it doesn’t get checked at all as it wasn’t a clear and obvious error. Goal stands and kick off

Yeah, the conspiracy stuff is making us look pretty pathetic.

We need to get our team sorted to actually defend properly and create clear chances. Hopefully Coutinho and Digne can be two big steps forward in achieving that.

2 goals disallowed and hit the bar.

How many chances do you want?

They were correctly disallowed for offside and our striker hit the bar from 6 yards out after their centre half back passed it to him!

We only managed 2 shots on target and our xG has been woeful for weeks now.

A good game, we gave them a game and we probably should have won.

Luiz, Buendia, Ramsey and Mcginn all played very well tonight.

Watkins and Ings also worked well together, both should have scored.

Villa look to be in much better shape than them, we have better players. The only difference is the added protection they seem to get and the savvy (almost cheating) nature of their players. There were many incidents of the way they play for fouls and win them even though one could argue the decision could have perhaps gone the other way.

Can't believe Dion Dublin gave McTominay the MOTM, What The Actual F*** was he watching?

I've thought this for sometime now but is Rashford so overrated? Greenwood overrated too now you mention it.

Villa owe these big time for the next match.

Coutinho to get the winner?

I missed that clause, but unfortunately, I think it supports the offside decision.

I have to say that it draws a very strange distinction between impeding and impacting,.

As this angle shows Cavani doesn't give JJ any room to get out of the way so by default impedes which is a horribly worded term that gives favour to the attacker. We all know this wouldn't be given at Villa Park.

Their attacker’s wouldn’t have been stupid enough to stand miles offside on their own attack. I’m guessing Ramsey was acting under instructions from our set piece specialist who was trying to be too clever.

When you talk about the rules ‘giving advantage to the attacker’ you seem to be forgetting Ramsey was the attacker. He was just doing something daft.

I also want a penalty for Shaw's hand in Konsa's face, can i have that, or is that reserved only for Man U too!

It does and it doesn't.

There is clearly an effort being made to give decisions in United's favour, I don't think anyone can deny that today.

I just don't think the disallowed goal was one of them.

Digne will be a massive upgrade on Targett.  I'm not clear where Coutinho fits in yet, but I hope he works out.

We really need a CDM as Luiz isn't one, and we need an aerially dominant CB as Mings just makes too many errors

He tackles Cavani, make of it what you will

I thought it could so easily be deemed he run in to Ramsey.....its one of them.

Its so easy to do, for experienced players.

Of course I do but I wouldn’t expect it to be, it’s one of those that you get 1 in 10 if you’re the defending team and you put your hand up to claim but never expect to get.  I do think Man U wouldn’t have got it wiped off as a goal if it had been at the other end.  It’s like the Ramsey goal/no goal against Leicester where Kasper claimed he had the hand on the ball and control.  9 times out of 10 that’s a goal but Kasper and co claimed a foul and they got it.  It’s a grey area on interpretation of rules and we seem to fall foul on it quite a lot.

Previously and he went down like he’d been shot!

Agree with the first sentence, however we got very excited pre season about Buendia and Bailey and that hasn’t actually paid off

Because they check incidents from most recent to least.  There were at least 3 things to be checked.

Did Ings use his hand

Did Watkins get a touch

We're either Watkins or Ings offside

Was Cavani unfairly blocked

I ask you, why was Ramsey standing 10 yards offside staring at Cavani if he wasn't put there to block him off?

He was there so Cavani has to run around him, which gives that split second for Konsa to get free. You see that sort of thing at pretty much every set piece.

Ramsey hardly moved from his lane; however Cavani being a savvy veteren realised he wasn't catching Konsa anyway so just ran straight into Ramsey and fell over.

He gave the ref a potential reason to disallow the goal, and it worked for them. Our players could learn a thing or two from that.

Tbh though, if it was the other way around, i'd probably be screaming for a foul.
