De Zerbi's clearly given up for the season (look at the amount of rotation he's been doing the past few games) and most likely is hoping that the big clubs he was linked to earlier in the season (I'm still not convinced there was more to it than the usual football media rumours) will come calling even though his team have gone into a complete slump. He may well still be carrying a grudge over the transfer strategy last summer/in January: Brighton should probably have been more ambitious in replacing Mac Allister and Caicedo (Gilmour is never going to reach the same levels and Baleba is not going to be ready to start regularly for a year or two). Potentially they could spend a fair amount this summer, but they will be a less enticing prospect if they finish 14th than if they'd splashed the cash when they'd secured Europa League football and everyone was celebrating them as 'the best run club in the world'. Also, it's kinda crazy that they finished a point above us last season and are likely to finish 25+ points below us this time around.

This for me.  I'd imagine he believes the media hype and his agent is trying to sort a move for him to a big club.

My money would be on Bayern considering Tuchel confirmed he’s leaving at the close of the season.

then again, a return home to Italy with Allegri leaving Juve could be a decent bet too.

More interesting will be whom Brighton target

Wouldn't be shocked to see Potter go back there.

Bemuses me all these decent European jobs he's supposedly turning down so not really sure what opportunity he's waiting for.

Wasn't on the West Ham shortlist which would've been a good job for him to return to.

Brighton being Brighton they'll already have a target lined up but he could be a fallback option if they're turned down. De Zerbi likely wouldn't have been available if the War hadn't occurred.

Think they've also been linked to Russell Martin in the past. He actually lives in Brighton and talk Southampton will sack him if they lose the play off final.

Juventus are getting in Thiago Motta from Bologna.

Will be a vacancy there (with Bologna in the CL) and I assume Lazio and Napoli will have openings given their poor seasons so can see De Zerbi being an option for one of them.

I think he'd suit Man U. He don't take any shit, probably get Rashford back on form or get rid.

That was my first first thought. United to sack ETH straight after tomorrows game.

He'll be on gardening leave, Chelsea will still be paying him far more than anyone else will, as soon as he lands a new job the Chelsea money will stop
