Sorry they are running running the show. 2nd half like the first this could be a hefty defeat.  If by some miracle we got back to 2-2 - it would be a brave man to bet against a watford 3rd.

They are not “running the show”, their game plan has worked better than ours

Not sure if it’s a millennial thing where people go into meltdown at the slightest thing.  Get a grip

It's only 45 minutes but is playing Buendia at No 10 in the first game, away from home quite gung ho?

Start Ramsey, keep Buendia right and AEG left. I didn't think we signed Young to play him on the wing.

Ramsey has done nothing to show that he should be starting matches in the PL.  Needs to have a year in the Championship.  How many goals / assists did he contribute last season?  How many goal saving tackles / challenges?

Playing Buendia as a 10 but then blasting the ball over his head from deep. He's been slow on the ball when receiving it as well.

Going long even when Watford are sitting on the edge of their box.

Wide forwards playing so wide that Ings is on his own with little support.

Still no midfielder sitting as when we're caught on the break, both McGinn and Naka are high up...can only assume that's an instruction.

Defensive line is very ragged.

Apart from that. All good.

It is the same team as last year but without Jack and with a left back in his place.

dear oh dear.

Worse than that, we have our 3rd choice CM playing because our 1st choice went to the Olympics, we had no real pre season and we have 2 potential star players both unfit, then throw in martinez and mings also not getting much of a summer and Watkins missing

It'll click at some point but the start of the season will be a slog

Targett and young has been the biggest disappointment, absolutely garbage, mcginn and Nakamba you could predict being this bad, Targett has pushed way too far up and then gone missing

Really not sure that would make a difference today, it’s all down their RHS on the break, we are just poor and rusty, no one knows where anyone is, there’s no space, no running because there is no space.

But we can’t control a game from midfield. We have the forward players to really hurt teams, but we can’t get of or keep the ball in midfield. I do agree that we look extremely rusty as well.

I like him but knowing how serious NSWE are about pushing on they won’t take much of this from Smith.

Well hopefully they won't have to, but Dean needs switch on to the centre Midfield issues.

but they won't, you are right.

El Ghazi has been just as expected. Young has been disappointing and of erring zero cover to Targett against Sarr. Buendia's corners have been poor and he's hardly done anything when he's had the ball. McGinn looks slow. Targett is diving in. Konsa going forward in open play and leaving us exposed at the back. Nakamba passing to them on more than one occasion and leaving us wide open to the counter. We look disjointed. atford could win this easily if they're brave enough.

We need to see what Dean is made of now. Two down means no messing about waiting until the hour mark to make changes. He needs to get Bailey and Traore on at half time.

*Remember Dean, there are now "concussion subs" so make sure the lads are aware to have a bang on the head towards the end of all your subs are used and you need to make changes!

Yet Nakamba and McGinn have?

He's not worse than them and for this game he'd be an extra body in there where we're being overrun

TBF that squad isn't pushing on. At best we equal last seasons position.
