Please tell me when to stop laughing at SHA

This is reflecting so incredibly badly on them it's enjoyable.

News outlets referencing the steward being arrested and the stupid twitter posts about his brother as well as the 'punch' - if you can call it that.

Hopefully this removes any sense of leniency the FA may have been considering for their ongoing financial wrongdoings too.

Pretty bloody decent Sunday, this will be remembered by people for a good while, their reputation is in tatters.

It's hilarious.

I think that’s harsh. He’s unequivocally spoken out about it on twitter so I don’t think there’s any reason to think he’s lying about not seeing it.

OK, but not for the 'fans' reaction to the incident, the literal rubbish on the pitch, and one of their own staff attacking Grealish, I guess they are all fine with that.

I think their apology is coming up a bit short.

Anyone mentioned the inbred that attacked Jack had a Zulu Jacket on?  They don't half make it easy for us to take the piss!

This is all over the world now everyone knows what us living in Brum have to put up with.

It's Anti Villa more than Pro Blues for the majority of their fans and people are now seeing it.

I live and grew up in the South so have never had the same attachment to the derby as a lot of Villa fans but it's pretty obvious that they're objectively one of the scummiest clubs in the country along with Millwall.

Sooner these words removed go out of business the better. Sick of the arsehole players, the arsehole fans and the arsehole staff.

In an ideal world they get relegated next season and we go up, so I know there are a good few years before we have to even think about associating with these cretins.

He's unequivocally come out and pushed the party line - that statement is about pushing the blame onto the "individual" and away from "these fans and the values of this club". It's lock-him-up but leave us alone. It's not an apology, it's the apportionment of blame.

For what it's worth, I think that there's an individual there who to some extent does represent the values of that club, as evidenced by the thousands that applauded his actions.

If Monk had come out and said the club has a problem and we need to look at ways to fix it - then you could maintain some respect for him - instead he's just pointed at the fan and absolved the club of any blame.

I agree with you.

All I was saying was that he probably didn't see it.

A lot of big name pundits like Neville and Shearer are calling for harsh punishment, this might force the FA into doing something.

With whats happening in Scotland and Smallling yesterday the FA might want to make an example

If points deduction is a possibility then obviously I'd love to see it. Not sure if that's even an option though.

Would not be surprised to see them have to play behind closed doors though.

I said on the match ratings & reactions thread, that we played a European Cup game at Villa Park against Besiktas behind closed doors in 1982. That acted as our punishment after a squaddie invaded the pitch and sat down in the penalty box during our semi final at Anderlecht. He didn't hit anyone, but they still wanted us thrown out of the competition!

That clown from yesterday, should get a lifetime football ban and a lengthy stay at HMP Barlinnie as a result of his behaviour. Small Heath should also get at least one game played behind closed doors as a result of what he did to Jack yesterday. That might act as some deterrent to other idiots doing the same, like the one at Arsenal did later that same afternoon. Those fans that applauded and clapped him as he was escorted off the pitch, should also be identified and should face their own 2-year bans from the sty as a result of their reactions to the shameful incident.

As for that vile, cruel, heartless and offensive twitter posting. The poster should get a life ban for that and a visit from the local police. How proud the Perkins family must be of this sick individual. I'm sure that 99.9999% of Small Heath fans would also be revolted by the post and ashamed to be associated with the monster who posted it!

I think the fact that we've seen 3 incidents in a single weekend should prompt a very firm punishment to all clubs involved. An example has to be set before this becomes commonplace.

I do find it interesting to contrast the incident with the Dublin headbutt though. In that case the only punishment was a red card, and you'd think that an actual representative of the club assaulting an opponent would lead to a firmer punishment than a random fan.

Yesterday just confirmed what we already knew. Obviously not all like it, but they really do have absolute shit ton of scum. The reaction of the crowd was telling. Just made the winner even sweeter.

Never been pelted by so many coins at a game before, you’d have thought they’d want to hold onto their dole money.

The 'lone wolf', 'just one idiot ruining it for everyone' is an absolutely vacuous narrative with clearly no foundation. I think most people can see through it and identify that Birmingham's fan base has legions of utter, dribbling scumbags of the highest imaginable order.

I had a look on that forum of theirs yesterday and one of them said the EFL had warned them a few weeks back about a fan incident there earlier this season. Can't find any online report about it so could be misunderstood but if they did get a final warning type censure then EFL would have nowhere to go but ask them to close parts of the stadium down e.g. close off the first 10 rows and put netting on which makes pitch invasions all but impossible.
