UpTheVilla26
Think he's been excellent for them. Obviously a very talented player amongst what you'd probably call a bunch of work horses but he's doing well. The amount of English Midfielders who ended up at Chelsea and then their careers fell off the cliff is ridiculous.

He'd already had a reputation for being hot and cold and unprofessional, and he was cheap with a year left do worth a punt.
foreveryoung
Playing well, Townsend's still poor though, should be standing out in this team like Barclay, but fits in with the rest.

Townsend has done okay, 1 goal and 2 assists in just under 7 games worth of football. They got burnley brighton newcastle and sheffield united coming up so can see him improving those stats, not bad for a free transfer and presumably quite cheap to employ
Villatillidie95
Goal v newcastle and assists v arsenal and man city for townsend too, thats decent value. I personally think Luton will still go down as i dont see them finishing above forest or everton, realistically only palace will be dragged into a battle with them and they are a much better team than luton. Luton have heart and soul but they concede too many before they launch a valiant but futile fightback. Barkely is doing well there though so fair play to him, hopefully he keeps it up

Their main tactic seems to be to give him the ball and hope he does something good. Gerrard will be fuming Rob Edwards has stolen his moments of magic tactic.

He’ll be competing with the likes of Gallagher, Henderson and Phillips to play alongside rice. And to be fair, based on current form you’d pick him over any of those

He has looked like he has recovered his mojo in recent games and his touch for his assist yesterday was sublime. Pity he got robbed of the ball, which led to the equaliser though. HanoiVillan
it was a weird decision to 'make the case' for him on MOTD last night. Next season, under a new England manager, who knows, as long as he's still playing well (whether at Luton or elsewhere). But there are many reasons, good and bad, why he won't be going to Germany this summer so it's kind of pointless talking about it at this stage. Villastine
Being linked with United in the Sun according to the BBC Gossip column. Fair play to him for turning it around. I'll always have fond memories of him due to 7-2 hammering of Liverpool.
