Match Thread: Villa v Man City

Only Steve Wonder would disagree that Nyland isn't a disgrace of a keeper.

All of a sudden he's good because he caught a ball against Burnley FFS. He was disgusting last season and has been pathetic today, probably more garbage to come from him.

I bow to your superior knowledge (seriously not really)

Looks like we have gone into it knowing we cant win it. No motivation has been a huge problem this season.  An what the hell is the formation supposed to be??

This could be a pivotal moment for Villa. This match could be the moment Jack realises he'll never have a future here if he wants a career to be proud of.

Yes and no, Jack should be showing those on his side that there is something worth fighting for, he should be stepping up not looking to step off the field by gaining a red through frustration.

Were going home, were going home.

It always baffles me when people (usually commentators) see people walking out and state "They're heading for the exits". No, they're not, they're going to get pie and beers mainly.

Think the bottom 3 will be the bottom 3 by the end of the season. Unless our management changes.

There may have been a hint of sarcasm missed off the 😉

Sorry, I’m cowering behind the sofa waiting for the next goal so my sarcasm meter isn’t picking up! 🤣

Biggest takeaway again is where on earth does Hourihane go in games. His ability to just disappear while occupying the most important position in the team is amazing.

We won one game...

And played well away to a strong Leicester team. It was much better than the dross the month before.

This.

Ive been beating the drum all season. No fight, no will to win and no urgency. All on Smith.  It it’s ok he’s a Villa fan.

This formation sucks. No one is playing as a forward, they all keep looking for one, no one is making any runs

We will have a team talk, come out fighting for three minutes and then concede

Nice glancing finish by Nyland for the third goal...how has he not saved that after getting two hands to it?

lack of striker showed during that attack, luiz took up a place in the middle but then had to go wide to support elmo, nothing there
