Had a couple good moves while also looking a bit out-of-sync at times, but didn't really have much to do all things considered. Second half was extremely disjointed with all the changes, stoppages and the style of play completely shifting to studs-to-ankle combat in the centre circle, so the fullbacks weren't really able to get as involved as in the first. Plus, with Ings up top on his own and no width at all, there were no overlaps on and nobody to cross to. a m ole Posted July 17, 2022 Share Posted July 17, 2022 Second string are always going to look worse when they only play with second string players - almost all of them are good enough to deputise for where we are aiming for in the next year or so. Guilbert would look much better in a full strength side deputising for Cash than he does linking up with Nakamba, Sanson and A Ramsey. I wouldn’t, Guilbert was a championship buy when we expected to be in that league.
