They were two entirely different starting elevens from both teams. It would be like picking up the U21 games and claiming they're contributing to our form.

Unfair, it is a squad.

I think tonight's starting line-up showed that Bruce was trying to preserve this current unbeaten run. However, the teams that win most, attack most. We need to stop being so preservative. If Bruce doesn't set us up to attack from the start of games he will soon be out of a job.

Like we've said before, to gain automatic promotion we need to be aiming for 2 points per game. We are on half of where we should be at and that itself isn't good enough. However, win the next 4 games and we're 17 points from 27 and, one point off the two per game needed. It is possible guys and I think we need to see what happens in the next two or three games.

Brucey, for God's sake man, stop playing five at the back. Keep to a formation (433) and main starting eleven and then, maybe then, you will see continuity and players growing stronger and becoming better. Going scared away from home won't help. You have the fans support in the stadium so use it and go at teams, disregarding their home "advantage.

And don't suggest he saw it wasn't working and changed it, he partially changed it but left us still in a mess for the rest of the half. If he'd really had balls to correct it, Bree would have been on after 30mins. Make the hard decisions, that's what you're paid for.

Absolutely this. I said straight away he should ditch the 5ATB as soon as they started overrunning us, and in ditching that he should have immediately taken off Samba and brought on Bree.

If you have decided the system is wrong (as pretty much unanimously on here everyone called it before a ball was kicked) then the personnel are wrong.

You are a fool to change one without the other and he wasted 20 odd minutes with the wrong players before making the change which was inevitable.

As soon as Bree came one we looked a far better team.  If done earlier when the system changed we may have had a better result.

I'd love to know what was wrong with his tactics tonight APART FROM going 3 at the back, which he changed early on.

please read my post in the R&R thread.

It explains the knock on effect of him making such an unneccessary and bone-head decision.

Hopefully with Snodgrass signed we won't have to watch too much more of Elmo . His final ball and general forward play is shocking.

Bruce signs Elmo to replace our "most assist" player who is then replaced by Snodgrass

We now have to average just over 2 points a game for the next 41 games if we want automatic promotion.

Has anyone seen anything to suggest that's likely to happen?

The last 2 league games?

Yes, that is rather damning isn't it.

2nd half we showed a good resilience for equalising as quick as we did and we could and should have got a 2nd.

But to be honest if we had two attacking more fluent players in there we could have easily capitalised on an average Bristol city as they really started to tire from the 80th minute.

All in all it is a point away from home that could have been 3 but it he needs to improve on our setup and 3 points must be gained in the next game, no question.

I feel like we now say this, every game.

Is anyone satisfied with the team that Bruce chose and the way he set us up tonight?

Bristol came at us and beat us for urgency and temp and we found it tough

its inevitable with the size our squad that folk will see it differently and pick different teams

If there was a standout 11 it would be easy but there isn't......

We stood off them too much and paid the price, we let them play.

when we had the ball they were in our faces, not letting us play.

They could have won that game and so could we.

Lee Hendrie said they look like they lacked confidence......what! after 8 goals in 2 games.

too many over hit balls at crucial times and poor decision making.

what a terrible team he put out. 2 wins on the bounce looking up and playing well then he got a nose bleed. No time for this clown

no disrespect but dont think Bristol City will be near the play-offs come end of season
