So what does Bruce do? Set everyone up behind the ball, constant aimless hoofs for the forwards to chase, and hope to score from a set piece. We got exactly what we deserved, the football was negative shit again. villianusa Posted February 4, 2017 Share Posted February 4, 2017 Players let Villa down big time today. Coasting in the first with very little pressure until Johnstone dropped the ball. Only one team in it second half until Jack got himself sent off. Two very good saves from the Forest keeper kept them in the game. Bruce tried to get to a 441 with fresh legs and was correct move for me. We might have got a point if Chester had been in the right position and not just look at the scorer but marked him. Every single away game, we sit back from the start, and play direct long ball. Giving away possession is ok, but giving away counter attack so easily and being counter back right after that is not OK. Grealish had poor performance in the 2nd half, why on earth did SB not sub him at 65-75mins? After Grealish got the red, why did we sub both strikers immediately? After we lose both strikers, we literally had no ball possession AT ALL for 15 mins. What was SB thinking? I am sorry, even if we are SHIT, the manager needs to make right decision - that is why SB is paid for. These amateur decisions from SB? That's the issue. There's no obvious answer. But giving a bloke more time when it's clearly not working isn't the right approach either (not saying we've reached that point yet) Look at Lambert.
