villanwesty88
Terrible news and very sad. My stomach sank when I read a text from a mate telling me that. Just completely unexpected.
Popular Post BOF Posted August 15, 2016 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted August 15, 2016 Over-riding emotion here is one of pure anger. I'll bite my tongue here as I assume we have members of plod around the place. I just hope against all hope that we get to the bottom of this. And I don't mean some manufactured lie provided by a police script-writer. Sadly I don't think we'll ever truly know anything other than what they want us to hear in order to justify man-slaughter. RIP Dalian. One of, if not my absolute favourite Aston Villa player ever. Just absolutely stunned by this.
Mantis
It's too early to be jumping to conclusions but very tragic news nonetheless.
Raver50032
Will always be remembered for THAT goal at Wembley, and THAT goal at Selhurst Park. I hope the Club will be able to remember him tomorrow night against Huddersfield, and that Holte End responding with a 'Dalian Atkinson, Dalian Atkinson,' chant. No matter what the circumstances, being fatally wounded by taser is NOT what's supposed to happen. Terrible news. One For The Road
This is awful news. What a sad thing to wake up to. Terrible. Absolutely loved Dalian. Man United in 94 was my 1st trip to Wembley. And that goal at Wimbledon is still the best Villa goal I've ever seen. Thanks for the memories big man. ;(

The Moustache of Teale
Tragic and shocking. Was privileged to be at Selhurst Park for that goal and whenever I hear his name it's that goal that I think of. He provided some magic moments in my favourite era as a Villa supporter. RIP Dalian.
