Still think they need an upgrade on McFred, but everywhere else they are stacked. On paper they are slowly building a proper strong, lasting team. Young front 3 + Ronaldo and Cavani Defence solid. They were dire. Not disputing any of that - but they still only lost to a massive individual error in the 95th minute. The worrying thing for them (and maybe Varane helps solve this?) is that they're conceding goals in every game. It's fine if they're going to stuff teams, but this "shutting up shop" isn't something they can seemingly manage well. Might as well be a Keegan-esque side. Why are people desperate to say “I told you so”? Built a great platform of good exciting and young players. Got rid of some utter dross. He's in a better place than when he took over .....but it's United and they need to win a trophy and Ole won't. This is just football. You can’t draw conclusions upon the occasional blip which all teams have, even the best / wealthiest ones. If they don’t get out of the group or miss out of CL qualification then criticism is fair but it doesn’t look like either will happen. 2nd last year and a penalty kick away from the Europa league trophy, it’s as good as it’s got for United over the last few years. Ole is not without his faults but I’d be delighted as CEO or owner of United at what’s he’s doing.
