Pogba just doesn't show up enough for me, regardless of whose around him. He should be carrying that midfield and driving them forward. He goes missing for me.

Add to that the yearly merry go round the agent puts on the club each season.

They can get 50million and 300k a week off the books. That should bring in a more consistent performer.

Except against us.

He did one on Luiz twice.

Still sour about it. Had just Dougie kept his cool we might have got a result in one of  those games

Imagine if Man Utd had a top manager with the player they have.

Solskjaer is doing a very good job tbh. Don’t really get the criticism of him now (it was certainly valid during the earlier parts of his reign, though).

Good job?

400M+ and a second place finish is the best he produce? At a time were Chelsea had a joke of a manager and Liverpool had an unpresidented amount of injuries.

Reckon they will be a good way off Chelsea, Liverpool and City this season

So he finished 2nd place to a manager that spent nearly a billion. Sounds quite reasonable

Absolutely a good job, yes.

In the last 8 seasons, Man Utd have finished in the top 3 three times - once under Mourinho (17/18) and twice under Solskjaer (last two seasons).  Last season saw them score more goals than in any of the previous 8 and record their second highest points total too.  As mentioned above, he's now lead them to a league record unbeaten away run.  This is a side which is only improving - they aren't going backwards at all.

Also being done at a time where the league is arguably at it's most competitive for those top few (lets say, 3) positions with Man City probably the strongest side in the World right now, Liverpool being very, very good, Chelsea looking very strong and "also ran" sides (Spurs, Leicester) being more than capable of being right up there.  I'd even argue that the league as a whole is stronger - the mid table clubs beating the top teams isn't as 'shocking' anymore.

But Man Utd are progressing.  So, yes, he's doing a good job.

Ronaldo still has an incredible leap but he's looked 'human' in the last 18 months and hasn't been able to fire Juventus to the CL title.

A human Ronaldo is still amazing! He broke the Juve record for quickest to 100 goals (131 games).

Outscored Lukaku in Serie A over the last 2 seasons - Ronaldo 60 in 66 - Lukaku 47 in 72.

I know it's not just goals that matter, but he's still a magical player.

Mental that he's back in England. Took a huge pay-cut as well apparently.
