Demitri_C
I think he will stay another year and play more of a experienced role/coaching. Dont think he will feature much apart from coming off the bench to help protect a lead

MakemineVanilla
Do Villa have cover for Left-Back, now that he's been released?

Allegedly he’s mulling over a contract extension (but I expect we’ll look for additional left back cover regardless!)
sidcow Posted June 25, 2022 VT Supporter Share Posted June 25, 2022 Assume we'll hear something by 30th June as his wages presumably stop. He'll want to sort something one way or the other by then.

He would want to be on that
rodders0223
I think he'll probably realize it's time to retire. That's the hold up. He's weighing up does he want to start his coaching journey or play for Huddersfield getting ripped apart by players not fit to lace his boots in his prime. Nigel Posted July 4, 2022 VT Supporter Share Posted July 4, 2022 Good, will be a secure option to bring off the bench in difficult games!
sne
Kinda hoped we'd have moved on from him. Hopefully he offers a lot off the pitch because I don't really want him on it. Good pro and all that.
villa4europe
Says to me we either can't find an alternative willing to come and play second fiddle to Digne or we really do rate Chrisene and KKH and we're just buying time
MrBlack
If Digne gets a long term injury then I'd rather have Young as the back up option than Ben Chrisene. Assume that with an extra year they'll be able to assess whether Ben is ready to step up, and if not get someone else in next season...or maybe even January if Digne gets an injury. Edit: what he said ^ Edited July 4, 2022 by MrBlack
