sne
Very nondescript player, not terrible but offers little to the team. Incredibly lucky not to give away a pen at the end of the game.
poitier
I thought he was pretty decent today, played quite a few passes that people would have been creaming themselves about if Veretout had played them. He did get a bit lucky with the penalty decision, but the ball was just played against his arm from a few feet away while his arm was in a natural position by his side - seen them given, but it would have been harsh and nothing he could have done to avoid it.
DCJonah
Thought he had a good game. Much preferred him in the role before Sanchez went off injured.
StefanAVFC
Couldn't do anything for the handball. His hand is by his side and it just hits him. What's he supposed to do? Thought he was decent.
itdoesntmatterwhatthissay
I always thought of him as a talented player but in recent weeks I think we've seen his peak. He'd be a great squad player or one in a team which pushes defences back but he's limited, without the ability to consistently play escape passes. Tis a shame, will be great in the Championship. New_Jersey_Villa
I know others will disagree, but I thought today was the best I've seen him in over a year. Tried to get stuck in, had a couple of pops on goal and sprayed the ball around a bit.
Bunnski
Anonymous again.Brings nothing to the team. Except a great first time ball over the top to Gestede that won us the penalty and was otherwise solid in everything he did?
KSV
yeah i thought he played well today. Not his biggest fan.. but he was steady and even got forward a few times.
Hanky
Again decent enough. Much less of a liability than Sanchez can be. Unfortunately not physically imposing enough for the midfield though.
ROTTERDAM1982
Should have scored, or at least got the shot on target, could have give a penalty away, and gave away the free kick right at the end my not being strong enough in the tackle. Was ok yday, some nice passes to Hutton, but his 2 shots summed him up, not enough quality.
bose
I don't think he should start for us. He lacks confidence going forward most of the time and offers little defensively. I think our three other midfielders all offer something particular - attacking (Veretout), athleticism (Gana) and defensive (Sanchez). To me he doesn't show enough confidence most of the time in playing penetrating passes or passes that can change the play (switching to the other flank for example). He plays it too safe most of the time.

Keyblade
I can think of at least 3 times where he hit diagonal passes that set us up on the attack, mostly to Hutton. One in particular he hit on the volley which was particularly memorable. I wish @GENTLEMAN would make a highlights video of his game yesterday to prove that he does indeed take risks and doesn't play it safe as is often misconstrued. I just think that he currently lacks confidence most of the time in playing attacking passes. One example doesn't nullify my point at all. I'd like to see Gil or even Grealish given a chance instead. I cant see how you could watch that game and just say he played safe. He did a lot of short passes, which was his role, but he played a few penetrating passes and set up the penalty! The most useful penetrating pass of the game.
Bunnski
He played 13 long balls, hardly playing it safe, Sanchez played 5 and Gana played 4...
DCJonah
I'm not a westwood fan but don't think you can be too critical about the last game. He was much better before Sanchez went off but still performed well back in a central role.
meregreen
I've never based my opinion of a player on one game. Over a prolonged period, basically his entire time at the club, he has shown nothing to indicate he is good enough at this level.
