Dante_Lockhart
Steer is a fine back-up / cup goalie. Look forward to see how he fairs with more play time this season. Good potential and hasn't really done anything wrong to be written off yet
lexicon
He's good backup. I don't think he'll be more than a good Championship keeper if first team but that's all we really need anyway as a 2nd.
Mr_Dogg
Is Guzan getting any holidays? Still playing for the US.
AntrimBlack
Sherwood brought in Given to supercede Guzan, now he is gone. Sherwood does not mess about, quite ruthless.
Raymond
Mishandled how? It was a fairly easy shot to control and he fumbled away. Almost landed at the feet of a Honduran player.

VillaChris
Steer hasn't looked convincing in the cups for me so new number 2 is certainly needed. What is certain is that Brad will stay regardless as we won't be signing two premier league standard keepers this summer.
VillaChris
Safe as houses if Mark Bunn is supposed to be his competition.
jackbauer24
Guzan isn't rated so Given takes his place. Given is then released so Guzan has even less pressure on his position. Rumours now consist of lower league/ veteran keepers coming in as back up. Where is the sense in this?! If you don't rate a player you don't make it so theyre even more secure in their position! Zatman
maybe he was dropped to give him a kick up the arse
jackbauer24
maybe he was dropped to give him a kick up the arse Which is fair enough. But now the message is, you've less competition so don't worry if your standards drop even lower? Still makes no sense.
CrackpotForeigner
We will almost certainly buy a new keeper. I predict it will be someone not obviously better than Brad, but close enough to keep him on his toes. Job done.

Shaw_nuff
maybe he was dropped to give him a kick up the arse Brad doesn't strike me as the type who needs someone else to kick him up the aris - He'll do that himself. He should have been dropped for one or two games to clear his head then back in.

packoman
Just because he was dropped doesn't mean he isn't rated, similar to Gil not playing.

All this before even reading the Transfer Speculation thread If we get Bunn in we're good for keepers imo. Spend the money on outfield talent instead. Czechlad
Who is even in our price range and available that we could realistically sign to replace Guzan? All I can't think of is Vorm, but he probably on too high of wages, and honestly, Guzan is probably better than Vorm.
