It's not that he isn't good enough. If Pep Guardiola was the England manager Jack would be one of the first players on the teem sheet. Southgate want pacey wingers and Jack isn't blessed with pace. Southgate sees Grealish as a wide forward but wants his wide forwards to be players in the Sancho/Sterling mould. I still think it’s odd he wouldn’t take him anyway and have a look at him in a central midfield role instead of all the defensive midfielders he’s using.
