Stevo985 Posted June 9, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted June 9, 2014 YEah The Way Way Back is great. Watched it back to back with Youth in Revolt, which is also pretty good. Michael Cera playing the only character he can play, but still very good.
Ingram85
I hate cera so I will never watch youth in revolt much like I've never seen Scott Pilgrim.
Popular Post lapal_fan
So I watched a film on Sunday night (the 8th, if you were wondering) called Elisiym or something like that. It featured everyones favourite Mr Ripley - no not big chin ben affleck - but his more attractive sister Matt Demon headmaster. I think in this film Matt Desmond was a good part because he looks rougher than a badgers arse with his very short hair (I played a game with my wife where we guessed what grade his hair was. I said it was grade 2 all over and she said 4 - It was good but bad because we'll never know but my god did we have fun guessing the grade of Matt day-mons hair cut.) I must make you aware that I am retarded and don't know how to put those clever spoiler tags in so I'm just going to write about the film because I don't care if you've seen it or not. Im sorry. So he nearly dies because he obeyed his bosses orders to get into an oven that shoots radiation at stuff. In this scene Matt datmund looks really uncomfortable and is like "Oh boy is it hot in this radiation oven, I could do with getting out of here" - but he doesn't in time so he just sat there and took it like a man in a radioactive oven. Anyway I digress, Elysiium (or whatever) is a orbiting starfish that rich fellows live - on this thing they have magic beds that make dead people undead again. not like zombies though. So Matt daemon goes to a doctor and that guy says "sorry matt you are dog food in 5 days because of bad radiation" and he's like "oh shit I need a bed, im going to eleysium (or whatever) so he goes to a man to get a ticket to elysium (or whatever) and asks for a ticket to it. The problem is that people can't go unless they are rich because these tickets are like, dead expensive. So he this bloke says "i'll get you a ticket if you let me sellotape this metal exoskeleton to you" and matts like "sounds good" but the bloke doesn't sellotape it on, he proper gets dirty DIY stuff and inserts this exoskeleton into his bones. It looks well painful. So Matt desmond walks around with this stuff on him and then he gets in a fight with Murdoch from the A-Team. they have a fight, which is well done because the "PEETCHU PEETCHU's" and the "uuhuhuhuhuhuhhuhuhuhhuh" of the guns is well class - anyway I digress, after Murdochs face falls off because a grenade went "FUSHBOOOOOOOM!" next to it the crowd (me and my wife) are like YESSSS! but he gets put on a bed and is well alright again and he's really madder than before. The plane gets destroyed as it goes to Elysium (or whatever) and they nearly get there. matt demon headmaster pplugs a USB in his head and makes it so everyone can go on a magic bed to become better again (I missed that bit earlier). He dies because of the virus another guy I didn't mention made it so when he plugs a USB stick in his head so everyone can go on a magic bed to become better again means he has to choose whether to die in a day or so, or now. Because he's not selfish he did it. By the way, there was another thing I forgot to say and that was like this woman he knows had a girl and she's dying of cancer, so his desicion to die meant that she could go on a magic bed because they were on the spaceship after Murdoch took them for some reason. If I was to review this film, and I think I might as well because I've just done it up there ^, then I'd give it a 9.5/10 just because Matt Desmond seems like he has grade 2 hair all over him. That and I liked the bit when a guys body is thrown against a wall because he was a batty man. 9.5/10 for those that may have missed the score earlier on. - would bang again eventually, once I forgot the film because it was bad like. Rodders
X-Men Dofp was good fun. Magneto's arc was quite ambiguous though I suppose that's to allow for future storylines.

stuart_75
The Wolf of wall street. Great stuff, but reminded me too much of Goodfellas in it's structure and narration. Not necessary a bad thing mind you.
