Absolutely and utterly gobsmacked at that.....The gods were with us, in the first 20 minutes.

That second half performance was so much better than the first. Spurs had their chances and didn’t take them, tough luck, we took ours and won fairly. McGinn grew into the game and is my motm, but respect also to Watkins for scoring the winner despite not having a great game, Martinez for some world class saves, Bailey and Tielemans did really well and showed our strength in depth. 

Not too bad considering how terrible our away record is, hey Sky?

It kind of feels like a grind, but no, every single of our attack could have ended as a goal to us today. 

The talks of it will be how brave spurs were all over us in the first 20 mins, but may be they won't say that they ran out of gas 10 mins into the second half.

Today has shown me that we have one weakness. One. If the oppo play full pace aggressive press our playing out from the back just doesnt work .As soon as they tired and went down 10 percent we were the better more controlled side.  Could easily have scored 2 more second half.

But i have to say fair play Spurs. With half their first team out they didnt half scare us. 

The result in the media will be unlucky Spurs rather than well done Villa. And that is so true for the first 50 mins. The remaining 47 not so much

Great result, whilst they should have killed us off in the first half we could say the same in the second IMO. Thought Torres was excellent today, both defensively and with the ball, great header for the goal too.

Obviously Martinez had a good game too, thought Tielemens changed the game for us second half. Great result.

That’s the statement win we’ve been craving. Away from home against another early front runner, massive. 

Honestly, we were very lucky first half. The Torres goal was huge though and then Emery backing it up with 2 very good half time changes which properly got us back in. 

Brilliant result. This Villa dream season goes on.

Something to build on. Give us confidence for Bournemouth. 

On face of it though we've played 4 of the big 7 away and won twice.

Hard game especially the first half but we kept in it and second half we were the better team no matter what the commentator say.
