what a rollercoaster of a game. First half we were good but missed our chances. 2nd half scrappy and played right into palace's hand. 

Game changed with emery's subs. 

Duran and Bailey really good when coming on. 

Then the drama of a 6 minute VAR check. Ref stuck to his decision. It did look like he got watkins first and then the ball so i think it was the correct decision. Definitely wasn't clear and obvious to overturn it.

We don't usually do comebacks like that. What a game.

Given some of the penalties given against us / not given to us over the last few seasons (Kane, Bruno and Salah spring to mind) we were owed one to go our way.  Player first so I think it's the right decision.  But I'm not sure that VAR would have given it had the referee not awarded it to start with.  However, what is good is that we know exactly why the referee did award it - he clearly says "player first" during the conversation.  Broadcasting the VAR discussions by default would resolve many of the issues with it and it was good to see that it looked like a genuine conversation rather than a guy in a shed telling the ref that he had it wrong.  I think if the officials know that everyone knows what they are discussing then the decision making will improve because they will have to explain everything in detail.  Then if they get it "wrong" they will be forced to confront why it was wrong and be better next time.  All to anonymous at the moment.

Great win under the circumstances. Duran amazing goal and good on the referee giving the pen after he was told to watch it. For me it was a pen anyway. Glad we got something go our way. The subs all did well.

An inspired and inspiring goal by Durán, and a savvy move by Emery to bring him on and completely turn the game around. 

Cool as you like from Douglas at the spot and happy for Leon to seal it, he played well today.

It looked to me like Ollie was impeded before the defender touched the ball. 

It was a fluke Palace goal to begin with, so we deserved to win that, penalty or not.
