The more we threaten the top 4 the more they will look to buying our players to destabilise more than anything

Man city know full well they could get a player as good as Ollie or McGinn outside of the premier league. But why do that when you can get a player and at the same time weaken a rival

Hopefully coutinho can be sold off to the Arabs for 10 or 15 million

Donker 5 to 10 million

Traore will leave on a free or we could try and get the Arabs to buy him in Jan for a couple million ?

Sansom another 5 million or so

Then you are looking at players we wish to upgrade

Cash

Olsen

Bailey ( done well recently )

Then age / value

Digne

Mings

Carlos

Them there's still big Tim and maybe another couple younger players who could be sold off who are on loan at the moment.

So plenty of players we may be able to shuffle out to reduce wages and increase revenue.

It's balancing having enough quality players who will keep us strong if injuries or suspension kick in to strengthening financially in order to get 2 or 3 better players.

Yes if we can get the middle east to buy our trash then we can get some money in, if we can't you are looking at what you mentioned for Dendonker and stuck with the rest.

Neither centre back will be sold.

There’s definitely a release clause in there I’d suspect. Doing the right thing to make sure the club get a good transfer fee but he’ll be off in the summer

No need to suspect. It's a requirement in Spain.

Every player in Spanish football has a release clause, but some are evidently achievable (Nico's old release clause of £42m) while others are there as a formality (Inaki William's release clause is £125m, Lenglet's is £250m!).

Place this is the " Would you rather win an FA Cup, Europa Conference or get a Champions League place " for some context and see if it sinks in.

Been speculated the whole time that Nico Williams was always going to sign a new contract with Bilbao so to make sure they would get paid for him instead of him leaving on a free. The same rumors said the new contract would still have a low release clause so that he could leave if a offer came in. Time will tell I guess but it's being reported in Spain that the new release clause is a similar figure to the previous €50m which is really, really low for a young and talented player like him. Ansu Fati for example has a release clause at €1 billion...

Still think we are very much interested in signing this guy.
