Didn’t Valverde punch him in the face? Lol anyway Baena is an interesting player. I’m surprised it’s taken this long for us to be linked with him

Something along those lines, nobody knows the real truth so I’m hoping if we do sign that nobody jumps to conclusions that he’s a bad egg.

Big statement imo, I’m aware of how well Ange has done in previous jobs and at Celtic but it’s very easy to coast the spl when youre spending over 25 million on players and the team in third spent just over 1 million. I hope he does well but not at our expense

But that’s the thing, he wasn’t handed a championship team, he lost all his best players and was a rebuild. Yet he still won two trophies in his first season and with everyone writing him off.

He has always been written off by people who think they know more and he has proven them wrong, each and every time. He’s won an Asian Cup as manager of Australia, he didn’t have the best squad as Japan and South Korea would have stronger squads.

Those Spurs players have no idea what is coming, he will sort them out very quickly and get rid of the ones who don’t buy in.

He allegedly mocked his wife's miscarriage, which isn't very nice tbf. Can't imagine Valverde chinned him for no reason.

Threads getting feisty again 🤣

Lack of transfer activity getting everyone on edge.

Barnes going to West Ham.

This has broken my dream of last night in which I spoke to Barnes about joining the Villa but then I had a meeting with Martin O'Neil who said I had tapped Barnes up and was taking legal action so I got on several trains each further and further away from Birmingham to escape, when I thought it was safe one of the conductors on the platform who was a fit young women said she recognised me TV as a person of interest in the Barnes transfer and wanted to run away with me. We got on a train and ended up in one of those Star Trek like toilets and ending up having a bit of how's your father. She them left the 'room' saying she was going to get me a change of clothes so no one would recognise me and she asked me if I would leave my wife for her. The last part of the dream had me looking out through the window of this train toilet as it pulled off with the conductor back on the platform. I then woke up

Fathers Day cheese boards, eh

The same Spurs players who wouldn't buy into what one of the best coaches in Europe wanted them to do?  Also getting rid of unwanted players isn't straightforward at Spurs either thanks to meddling Levy - there are only so many times you can **** other clubs off with ridiculous "bids" / "offers" before they stop wasting time engaging with you.  Levy will hold out trying to get the best deal possible (and then fail) and will then waste more time making stupid bids for incoming players that have no chance of coming off.  In recent years he's had the luxury of making stupid offers, then finding out what offer from another club has been agreed and jumping on the back of that with the "promise" of European football and a push for the Top 4.  That's going to be much harder this season with no European football, a relatively untested manager (and very public rejections from a number of higher profile managers) and Conte's rant.

Add to that the delusional fanbase who will hound the manager out if they don't hit the ground running.

Good end product is 15 goal involvements

He'd have had 16 if he played 28 games worth of minutes. If his teammates could finish their dinner he'd have had 12 G+A in 14.3 games worth of minutes.

I think Postecoglou is a good appointment but it's a tough job for anyone to take on in the short term. Their squad was assembled specifically for Conte and now looks terribly unbalanced for more or less any other coach out there, especially one like Postecoglou who is almost the opposite to him in terms of playing style. They have specialist wing backs with not much history at all of playing in a back four, a load of naturally holding midfielders with minimal creativity about them, a mess at centre back and then the Kane and goalkeeper situations to address. It's a lot to manage in one summer.

Maybe we can get involved next time but really would make sense for sons of our former players to be brought in to the fold for at least trials of they are showing signs of a promising career themselves.

He's not rugged enough to be a Mellberg. Where's the beard!!!!

He's only young, give him a few years to mature and establish his game a bit more and then we will go in for him.

I'm sure his father will put in a good word about us too.

Would Jurrien Timber be out of our range? Seems like his profile could be a great fit for the right back position under Emery, where he is a centre back by trade, but comfortable on the right and also has great passing range and dribbling ability and also knows how to defend

Turned down a move to Utd last summer I think. Surprised ETH hasn't been back in for him

Wouldn’t be surprised if we sign Goncalves, Williams, and Felix, as our new attacking contingent. Chuck in Pau Torres and a reserve keeper and we’d be set for next season.

Will never happen, Goncalves maybe and of the three he's who I would like to come here. Not overly bothered about Williams and we have very little chance of signing Felix.

If ex legend players have sons who are worth signing.....

I expect us to sign them.

Chelsea have proved this season that money isn't enough, you need a proper setup.  Take City for example, they have more than just money, they have an unbelievable football setup from management all the way down to youth coaches.  We are putting a similar setup in place, which will be a lot more effective than just throwing money at it.

And when Emery gets tempted to leave by a better offer,  we have no setup then.

If we become a threat they would do that.

I would like to see some facial hair before we contemplate making a bid for him.

Also who the hell drinks sugar free Redbull.

It's 1/4 of all their sales, $1bn worth.

So, a lot of people. Mellbergs son included.
