rbcuk
Massive mistake not one person on here voted for him, he’s the weak link in midfield and now he gets the bloody armband

est1874
Well well well. McGinn was never getting dropped before, now we know he never will be. I'm not Mings ' biggest fan as many know, but this isn't what I'd describe as the best outcome.

The Fun Factory
Brain dead decision which doesn't fill me with confidence for the season. Gerrard has taken against Mings for no reason since he came here.

icouldtelltheworld
At the risk of sounding like a barmy Gerrard-hating conspiracy theorist, it's hard to escape the sense that this decision is at least partly premised on McGinn being the player in the squad who most reminds him of himself
Rustibrooks
Obviously Mings/his team could be saying that just to be PC with everything, but his tweet suggests he's fine with it.

Dale
Terrible man management. McGinn was very poor for a large portion of last season, Mings wasn't, is John a guaranteed starter? Mings should be more assured of that based on performance. No sense in this. Mings above and beyond in character and representative of the club. Like a bucket of cold sick this to me.

Must say, very magnanimous of him if so. Really like him as a man, just not so much leading our backline. McGinn has been suspect too, can only hope this lifts his performances.
Delphinho123
Now that is surprising. No doubt a great character - but probably our weakest player on the teamsheet. Should have been Martinez.
