He has a lot of upside.

He is already 6ft and likely to grow beyond that.

He is clinical in front of goal.

If he fills out a bit more there will be a pathway for him into our first team.

But a season bruising it out in the lower leagues will also benefit him.

Do you know if he's travelled with a match day squad yet useless?

Not sure what the club are doing in terms of that experience for the kids

Hoping / half expecting Don emery to do what Smith did a few years back and put a few kids on the bench come garbage time of the season to generate a buzz going in to the summer, don't think Wilson will be part of that but at the same time he's a couple of injuries away

Seems to be scoring a goal most games he features in. I wonder if he could do a loan at a league one or bottom half championship side next season.

Or to a SPL team like Hibs or St Mirren. image.jpeg.57f8212de8c6e17e4d4dbc08e5323ff1.jpeg image.jpeg.39192ecdba409045278b3c97432a2db6.jpeg

It's an odd one - he'll be a little bit too young for a loan in August, but he's progressing so well that we might bump that forward.

In a good quality line up today, it was interesting to see that he was the one that took responsibility for the penalty, bodes well for his mental strength.

Yeah potentially a little bit young. I think we will keep him around until Jan then look for a half season loan as he turns 18

I think a loan at 18 migjht be a little early for him.  He would be playing main striker rather than wide striker so would be up against gigantic Premier League centrehalves. Got to balance playing league games against letting him naturally fill out and take his time with him in the academy. Looking at the way Barry has struggled and then considering Wilson is the same skinny build as him giving him another full season might be more beneficial   i think we have a future goalscoring machine on our hands so his devopment needs to be given the perfect pathway for us to make the most of him
