Easier to push trips a week or so when you’re a millionaire, even though I also think it’s important to remember these guys are real people and happy wife happy life.

Madness that he wasn't in the squad initially.

It's not really - France have a very talented squad and Kamara is seen as one of the potential stars of the future.  They're not rushing him, but they certainly have big hopes.

Of all the players we have, this is the guy who we could genuinely (not this season) lose to a "big team".  You can just tell he's got it.

Do you not think he's better than Rabiot, or Fofana? Fofana's only 10 months older than him as well.

And Kamara's 23, he's more than good enough and old enough to be in there now IMO.

They feel like pretty different players - Kamara's main challengers are Tchouameni and Kante.  I think he'll generally start to replace Kante now with Tchouameni and Kamara being rotated into that holding role in the midfield 3; though Tchouameni will be the regular starter if a straight tussle between the two.  Could be wrong, we'll see.

Not sure tbh, but with 9 caps, he is considered a Brazilain international. And with his form last season, its a matter of time until he is a regular for them.

He has been injured a fair bit, started three games since start of March so think France would've just called him up for September games once he'd started for us regularly in August before this late inclusion.

Kante isn't in this squad either and he played a fair bit for Chelsea in last six weeks of season.

I still can't quite believe that he gets the tackle in there. Seems an impossible reach made possible by absolutely perfect timing.

What surprised me was that Ferguson didn't dive and claim a penalty.

Deschamps is a dick.

Would be all well and good saying that as a footballer he can just afford to do book a last minute luxury alternative now, but availability might not be there where they wanted to go.

Maybe thought there was no chance of making the squad, and then expecting to be back in training by, what, 10th July? so probably didn't have much choice about booking the honeymoon for later in the break.

Hopefully his wife sees the bigger picture.

He's such a class player for us, I'm surprised the French don't rate him more highly. A lot of competition in that area with Tchouameni, Camavinga, Rabiot and young players coming through like Thuram and Kone but I'd have thought he'd be higher rated than Fofana as he was ahead of him 12 months ago but seems his injuries have messed up his selection for the national team.

Pretty sure the likes of Kante and Pogba are out of the picture for France now so as long as he stays fit and plays well for us he should make the Euros squad.

French equivalent of Southgate. The talent at his disposal is ridiculous and arguably head and shoulders above most nations. He gets credit because he won a World Cup but this squad of players should have won more.
