He plays as a defensive midfielder for his club and rarely ventures forward in an ultra attacking Leeds 4-1-4-1. Yes, he’s been decent, but how about playing a central midfielder used to getting forward? There are so many players that either a) shouldn’t be on the pitch, and b) are playing in the wrong position. It’s an atrocious starting line up. Both on paper and tactically. I don’t mind being 0-0 at half time because early in tournaments are always slow but after a lively first 15 mins it was pedestrian for the next half hour is my concern.
