So looks like possibly no Trez, El Ghazi or Traore. The right wing is looking pretty baron! Maybe we will try pushing cash or Elmo up into midfield?

I actually think we'll start Barkley considering he's been in hibernation for two months so is surely raring to go and try to see if he can manage 60 minutes.

Wonder if we might have him and Jack floating as two number 10s behind Ollie and then 3 CMs behind them if none of the wide players are available. Similar to what Sherwood did when Jack first broke through.

Don't think it would be the worst formation to do v Man. City as you don't want to go in light in central midfield v them.

Who's the guy hiding behind the mask?

It's Doug, was a clearer shot of him with the snood lower in one of the other pictures. Konsa and Targett are also around so not missing either.

Guess El Ghazi is the Viking on the Masked Singer then!

Hmm.  Thought it was either him or Trez. Dougie eyes,  trez's hair. Can't keep up with Dougie's hair tbh.

Trez hopefully had his bad luck for the year with his face injury,  muscle tear and covid.

Deano’s comments are really interesting regarding how we caught it.

We had tests done New Year’s eve with 0 positives, then a few days later had another round with 9 positives, 6 players. The next day produced 5 more positives and a couple in the days that followed. Mostly asymptomatic fortunately.

What happened between New Year’s eve and let’s say the 3rd, did we pick it up from an asymptomatic Utd player/coach? Or how did none of them catch it from us? If it wasn’t from that day, did we some how catch and transmit it between 9 players and staff in the space of a day? Or more likely a New Year’s Eve infection that incubated before being passed around the squad?

Its scary to see just how easily it can be passed on under relatively normal conditions within a bubble.

The incubation period is anywhere from 2-10 days. So good luck trying to work it out, it's nigh on impossible.

Looks like we're good to go. Hopefully everyone gets back up to speed and keep this strong season going.

Great stuff. He wasn’t in the main training pics / vid so I wonder if he’s still struggling with his hammy.

The only omission I can still see then is Hause. Hope he’s back at it soon.

Listening to Deano in his presser it all sounds rather promising. Seems we are fine and the players are up for it. I think we’ll get another good performance, like we never had to shut down the club for 10 days. Still unlikely to be enough against a rejuvenated City, but we’ll give them a game im sure.

Looking forward to seeing Barkley back in there. Looking forward to watching the maestro himself, Doug + Ginny, Konsa and Mings, Emi, Cash + Targett. Man I love this team. Feels so good going into any game knowing anything is possible. Such a good side. One game at a time now as we plot our way back into the top 6.

No bookings pls those on 4 yellows..

It could be anything ie travelling in the bus to a game, it can be picked up from surfaces not cleaned properly etc, doubt we’ll ever know the source.

Now I'm struggling to work out anyone missing,  apart from Hause.

Hopefully we've got away with one here, seems Fulham didn't have many long-term absence after they're outbreak.

Most likely picked up from shared air in an unventilated environment, like the away dressing room at Old Trafford. All it took is the testing regime to miss one case for it to spread to others.

Regardless of how it happened it is a relief to see we have got out the other side of it in half decent shape.
