Disappointing if he's off, I'd much rather a small statement to confirm otherwise and leave him at Bodymoor. Why involve him in team bonding?

Something has changed recently with Villa, i could put money on Percy announcing nearly all our signings in the NSWE era. He wasn't 1st to Young, nor Bailey.

Thing for me is, say we sign these players. You still have a Grealish size whole in the LW unless you move Watkins and keep El Ghazi?

I think that's the issue here, he only knows what city have fed him, has no connection to Villa or Jack.

Something about how this deal has been presented doesn't make sense. Nobody has outright said Jack wants to go. Time frame, most reports say the deal needs to be concluded quickly but why is my question? £100m no doubt if not a release clause then a gentlemans Agreement with Jack. Man City's media leaks seemed to be determined not to allow Jack to return to the club. Jack's injuries also play a part for me, he's missed 3 months off each of the last seasons nearly, goes to Man City and he can certainly manage his work load but he's a fool to think he'd be the same player. Pep won't allow him to be. I have no idea if he stays but i hope he does, this is the best Villa side he's ever played in. Will only get stronger.

I'd be gutted if Jack goes and we don't get to see Young link up with him. I love Targett but the nostalgia is heavy with Ashley Young.

Really sad to see Conor leave, I'm not sure when his contract is up but I'd be surprised if he plays again for us. Really got alot of undeserved stick, for not being a certain type of midfielder. Imo he's been one of the most exciting players we've had for 10 years, certainly should be remembered fondly alongside many modern era players like Hitz, Milner or even Benteke. Without his goals i don't think we'd have made it back to the PL. That moment at Villa Park when he scored vs Baggies will stay with me forever. Absolute relief, joy such a key defining moment. The fact you knew it was in as soon as he hit it. As a 35 year old, easily one of my top 5 moment ever at VP. Thanks Conor and good luck. Actually looking forward to seeing him smashing a few in at that level again.
