It thought their 'moral and ethical concern' comes mostly from the current administration's timing. Trump is against vote by mail and all of a sudden they are defunding the USPS. Why was this not an issue 3 years ago when there was no election coming up? Or when he was voting by mail in Florida? Could it possbily be that he thinks voting by mail will help people vote who will not vote for him?

I'd say there is reason for 'moral and ethical concern for the USPS' when it is being defunded in an obvious move to suppres votes (which he literally said on TV).

He knows this.

How about this for a curve ball.

NASA WARNING ASTEROID COULD HIT THE U.S. ...1 Day Before Election

NASA broke the news ... an asteroid is on a trajectory to hit the United States of America on November 2, 2020.

The good news ... it's 6.5 feet in diameter and there's only a 1% chance it will hit somewhere in the country. With our luck in 2020, who's betting that it will miss?

Mail in voting traditionally benefits the GOP, so Trump's Postal service flunky had better remove thousands of mailboxes and sorting machines if he wants to suppress the Democrat vote.

Yes that is usually true, though in this instance the thinking goes that Trump’s voters don’t believe the virus poses any real danger so will happily vote in person if they need to whilst Democrat voters will listen to advice telling them not to go out and instead vote from home.

I think in reality old grey republican voters are still going to be more likely to vote by mail but we’ll have to see how it plays out.
