Xela
Golden era of mens tennis. 54 majors between the big 3. Tennis will be massively poorer when their time is up.

Even Murray has played his (albeit smaller) part in this golden era.

Agreed, the talent doesn't seem to be there. By right Federer, Nadal and Djokovic should be on the scrap heap as typically in tennis the greats are behind the pace of the next generation by the time they hit 30. Johnnyp
Can go on to win 30 grand slams, couldn't care less. He'll never touch Federer in terms of morals, ethics and just been sporting. How many times have we seen Djokovic miles behind, like today, in a 5 set match and start pulling faces and request a medical time out. He has form for doing this. Thiem cracked. How could you not. Psycologically you think " I'm 2 sets up and this guy is struggling " Though he isn't. He never is. Dirty cheat.
PaulC
Whatever you say Djokovic has regularly beaten Federer in slams, he has a better h2h. He might not be loved like Federer and Nadal but in my opinion he is already the GOAT.

The talent is there, we have seen a number of next gen players win atp events, it’s a mental thing really in the slams. This year one will win a slam. The most likely one is the us open. Thiem could win the french though. Not sure Federer will win another. Thought Wimbledon was his last real chance

PaulC
Yes a true great who when you think won 11 Slams by the age of 26 then retired. Djokovic at that age had won 6.

The other was Ingemar Stenmark. When they played/skied the country was at a standstill, and I mean total. People dropped what they where doing at work/home and watched. It will never happen again. Too much other stuff flying around in terms of entertainment.

Even when Federer gets bet he goes down with grace. Doesn't blatantly cheat. And that's what it was.
