January Transfers 2019/20

Smith obviously hasn’t ruled Giroud out as otherwise he could have easily said so in his PC when the reporter asked about Giroud.

Agree with others though, he’s unlikely to come here if he has a more glamorous option. Maybe his other suitors won’t be prepared to pay what we are which could keep us in the running.

Angel Rodriguez off to Español after they triggered his €10m release clause. Would have been a great option for us at that price...

32 yo though ... better value to be had elsewhere IMO

Getafe are stacked with strikers so he hasn't been choice this season, and he still has 16 goals already in all comps. 32 but still has pace to burn, and I can see him getting Español out of an even worse situation than we find ourselves in.

If we going after Getafe players I’d personally go for Nemanja Maksimovic as CM/DM linked with Wet Spam ...

Adolfo Gaich?

The Argentinian Lewandiwski ...  £12million  release clause apparently

it’s the sort of signing a mid ranked Spanish/Italian club will make then sell him on for a ****-ton on ££££ In a season or two ...

Thought the rule was only one loan from the same premier league club?

Is this displaying as a mess for anyone else?

It is but as Smith said, we could buy him. He only has 6 months left on his deal so loan fee or purchase doesn’t really make any difference.

Ah was he the player DS was on about in his quotes from the other page?

At least we're targeting that calibre of player as we'll need to sign a few of them if we're to make great strides in this league over next 18 months.

villareport is tweeting it. What does he know anyway..

Villareport literally just retweets Villa related news from other websites.

We've  had this debate on here multiple times lol.

He doesn't claim to be ITK or anything.

I haven’t read the quotes on the previous pages but I did watch the full press conference and the only non Villa player mentioned by name was Giroud. In fact Smith was asked if Drinkwater signing ruled out Giroud and Smith said no as we can buy him. He then went onto say he wouldn’t mention any names..

Google Translate on that tweet, if your Spanish is as bad as mine:

'From England they report that Aston Villa, of a very good relationship with Bruges, is monitoring the negotiation between the Belgian club and San Lorenzo by Adolfo Gaich. The sale of the forward is advanced, not closed.'
