Went out on loan to a really poor standard of football and didn’t do well at all. Came back, got his head down and did well when called on for the first team and did really well on loan at PNE! Now he’s a new contract and is 3rd choice striker, and with 5 subs should see some mins. I think he’ll benefit from being able to come on across the front line! Villatillidie95 Posted August 6, 2022 Share Posted August 6, 2022 really happy that he has signed long term for us, he is such a talent and there is a real feel good factor around our academy and youngsters at the moment, even with the carney news, its fantastic to see so much youth progress and lots of youngsters commiting to Aston Villa in the long term Archer imo is the pick of the bunch and think will bag a few in the prem this season, probably more than many of us expect. He could have an impact as a supersub but also he is good enough to be challenging for that starting spot imo. It's panic stations isn't it - trying to loan out a bright young talent who needs games to get a player we don't need and the manager doesn't want.
