Lost 2-0 to Man Utd yesterday

Just a friendly I think?

I thought the women's team would have made a lot more signings.

Think Carla Ward said in her last interview in July that they needed at least a couple more players before the season starts in September.

Hope we really progress the women’s team as much as the other teams. We need to breed that winning mentality throughout the whole club.

so that lisa Weiss has left by mutual agreement. for someone who pays very little attention to womens football, could someone explain why theres such a high turnover of players? is it that they're all professional contracts but like rolling month-month or something?

Maybe we’ve been looking for a higher standard of player this summer and so let the previous women’s contracts wind down and a lot have expired this summer?

I remember someone in here saying that the contracts are usually only 1-2 years long anyway.

Yeah, contracts are very short, and very very few players move for a fee, so a lot of players just move on when they recognise that they are out of favour.

The weird outlier here is men's football, not women's. Like if I want a new job, or could get a better job with another employer, nobody has to buy me out of a contract, I can just leave and go work for someone else.
