useless
I wouldn't be so sure that they will come straight back up, last time they were relegated, perhaps because of covid and most teams being reluctant to spend they were able to hang on to most of their betters players, so much so that with Buendia, Cantwell, Skipp, and even Tettey despite his age, they probably had a better team last season in the Championship than do this season in the Premier League, but they since lost those better players as a PL club, and will probably lose the few remaining decent players they have this time as well. Most Norwich fans seem to think they're going to need a big rebuild in the summer. All that's why I thought Smith taking the job was a bit of gamble, I thought he might have been good enough to keep them up, but failing that it probably won't be as easy to get them back up as some think.
VillaChris
It's always difficult to guess what 11 will look like for Norwich in six months. People always think when a team goes down you'll just rely on the same ones to get you back up but that rarely happens. Had a look at an Everton forum just now and they're all saying they wouldn't back their current team to get them back up but in reality Everton would have a fire sale and their name should mean they sign some of the better championship players around e.g. what we did in 2016 but didn't do us much good in short term as we needed a year just to break out of the losing habit. Norwich have guys like Hanley, Kenny McLean, Ben Gibson who sum them up. Solid championship players but no good in the prem. Rashica will probably do well for them in championship and Josh Sargeant will probably look better at that level aswell. The blonde CM they had looked decent for them earlier in the season and Pukki is probably too old now to be targeted by other clubs and he's settled playing for them. Didn't they also sign some greek player for 10m last summer so he needs to show something? Wouldn't shock me if DS came back in for someone like Hause on loan given he isn't making the bench for us now.

They'll be competing with fellow relegation teams for an instant return. Can't see The Baggies getting any better.
NoelVilla
If they don't lose to many players and maybe even can upgrade on Teemu Pukki they will be favourites to go back up again together with the other relegated teams.

useless
Leeds first goal should have been offside as well, Bamford didn't touch the ball but he was obviously interfering with play as he jumped for an header which a Norwich defender won leading to Leeds scoring their goal. useless
Fulham's squad is much better than Norwich's plus they spent another £22m on it in the summer, which by Championship standards it's still a lot, Norwich probably won't spend anywhere near that much as it's not the way they operate. You could also compare them to West Brom who had the same number of points after 29 games last season, they're currently 14th in the championship. Norwich might not even get anywhere near Fulham's 28 points anyway, they're probably more comparable to West Brom and Sheffield in terms of how they're doing now relative to those teams at this point last season and squad strength.
Demitri_C
Smiths not been much if an improvement on farke has he? Very naive of him to not run the ball into the corner and run the clock down. Poor reault today, awful for them
