Well the "he should be starting" myth has been fully put to bed.

That performance was better than any of our wingers (including himself) since the start of last season maybe. He'll continue to start I imagine.

He didn't have a good game. He just didn't. Jack had a good game. The team had a good game. The team have him the platform to have a shit load of the ball and he wasted it over and over and over again. What chance did he provide? What great passes or cross did he feed anyone?

He was given about 5 passes in the final third where we had dragged everyone away from him.

Did he **** play well

Had the cross that Traore missed his half volley from first half. He also put another good ball into the box first half. Hit the bar from a free kick way out.

He was far better than a lot of them - Watkins, Traore and Nakamba especially. Obviously a hundred levels below Jack - but so is everyone in our squad. He should have done a lot better on the one Jack put him through for - but other than that? He was our most dangerous player.

Would love to see those “5 passes” you’ve pulled out of nowhere. For two of his shots he made the space himself by dribbling past his man.

He’s not a world beater - but there’s no way these dropped points are on him

As I say, you're too blinkered.  He created more chances than anyone else other than Grealish, was constantly running at their defence and causing problems.  Aside from wayward finishing, he had a good game.

Trez/Grealish on either side is still going to be the starting choice. Theres no way he should be ahead of those two.

**** me. Would have loved to have seen that in Tonev's day. Bloke would have POTY

They actually deduct points for poor finishing.

so that’s taken into account.

By far our most dangerous player, involved in a lot of our good work going forward.

His scuffed shot was no worse than Watkins attempt.

His blast wide after a sharp run was no worse than Jacks that he blasted over near the end.

Traore had 3 fantastic opportunities.

Mings header at the end?

His free kick was saved by a worldly, and was in its way in.

But people here will come out with things like should never play again.  Predictable and boring.

He hit 2 tame efforts straight at the keeper that you can say he should be scoring. All the other shots were more difficult and weren't exactly sitters.

I think the fact that he's had so many shots (which is a good thing!) is skewing perception. For comparison, Jack also missed 2 good chances, but he probably only had half of Anwar's shots overall.
