If a player is 2 footed they can play on either side and it's not out of position. The players on the list (and not on the list) are all equally comfortable on either foot.

A two footed goalkeeper, could end up on his arse.:)

No big money splashed around but a good window I think.

Agreed. About as much as we could have hoped for without disrupting anything too much, which lets face it hasn't gone too well for us.

For those of us who thought it would take at least 3 windows to sort out the mess left after relegation it seems to be coming to pass.

Onwards and upwards.

But apparantly it is suggested we could still sign any one of these players who are free agents if we needed.

11 free agents Aston Villa could still sign now that the January transfer window has closed

Latest Aston Villa transfer news takes a look at the players still available to Steve Bruce

Aston Villa boosted their squad with the arrivals of Lewis Grabban and Axel Tuanzebe in the January transfer window.

Striker Grabban and defender Tuanzebe joined on loan until the end of the season from Bournemouth and Manchester United respectively as Steve Bruce added to his options ahead of the final promotion run in.

However, it's still not too late for Villa to make further additions.

And what's even better - they won't cost a penny in transfer fees.

Clubs are still permitted to bring in free agents - and Football League sides don't have to find room in 25-man squads as Premier League outfits do.

West Ham snapped up Patrice Evra on Wednesday and here are 11 players who are on the lookout for a new employer.

Samri Nasri

The midfielder has been without a club since leaving Turkish side Antalyaspor last month.

Nasri, 30, has a wealth of Premier League experience during his time with Arsenal and Manchester City.

Alex Song

The defensive midfielder, 30, spent 10 years in England during spells with Arsenal, Charlton and West Ham.

He almost joined Birmingham City in the summer before leaving Russian outfit Rubin Kazan on deadline day.

Anderson

The former Manchester United midfielder left Brazilian outfit Internacional in January, and at 29, still has age on his side.

Marouane Chamakh

The 34-year-old centre-forward quit Cardiff at the turn of the year. He has struggled for game time over the past couple of seasons and hasn't found the net since May 2015.

Joleon Lescott

The centre-back has been without a club since leaving Sunderland last year and has been training with non-league side AFC Telford to keep himself fit.

Lescott, 35, could provide a stop-gap if a side is short of defensive options between now and May.

Victor Anichebe

The striker spent last season at Sunderland but has fallen off the radar after a move to China.

However, at 29, the former Everton and West Brom frontman still has something to offer.

Sulley Muntari

The Ghanaian has been without an employer for six months but offers a wealth of experience to prospective employers.

Midfielder Muntari, 33, played in England for Portsmouth and Sunderland.

Gabriel Paletta

The defender, 31, could feel he has a point to prove in England after leaving AC Milan.

Paletta endured a sorry spell at Liverpool earlier in his career, playing just eight games, before being offloaded to Boca Juniors.

Carlton Cole

The former West Ham forward is searching for a new club after returning from a spell in Indonesia with Persib Bandung.

Cole has recently been training with League One side AFC Wimbledon.

Jan Kirchhoff

The defensive midfielder was part of the Sunderland side relegated from the Premier League last season.

He left the Black Cats last summer and could fancy another crack in England after spending most of his career in his native Germany.

Sebastian Bassong

Bassong, 31, was released by Norwich City at the end of last season and was training with Blues in August with the hope of securing a deal.

However no contract was forthcoming and the centre-back remains on the hunt for a new club.

Would we even want any of the other players?

Nasri's fall from grace has been amazing to watch. One of the best attacking mids in the league when he was at Arsenal. Goes to City and doesn't fit their system. Then his career has gone down the toilet since then.

Plus he had a very public spat with his wife on twitter when Nasri got caught cheating on her.
