It's the squad equivalent of having a boob job when you need heart surgery. ACN mate that's why. We do though need someone like Huddlestone, Adam or Barton in the middle of the park. We spoke to Barton in the summer, wish had got him. Bruce was in for him at Hull so you never know.

Fair point, That said surely there's players like Hepburn-Murphy chomping at the bit to get gametime. Would be a massive dent to his confidence.

I think Adam would be great for us and he played well last night for Stoke. I would even welcome Crouchy on loan for 6 months. He barely plays at the moment and I'm sure he'd be useful during the ACN

Yet they're performing better with a decent setup. We're crying out for Sanchez and Veretout. We need strength in depth in midfield and they are better than we currently have. I didn't say that they wanted to be here, I just listed players I think would improve us with the added bit of irony they they're either recently departed or still our players. villakram
Can we please stop this thread. I've just started getting used to us not losing all the time (thought still being shit) and I could really do without having to imagine a Steve Bruce transfer window right now, much obliged! Popular Post Morley_crosses_to_Withe
What will happen in January is we'll be linked to loads of unsexy names and there will be some knicker wetting and hand wringing. It'll be like the transfer window under Sherwood wherein we were linked with solid, but unspectacular English players, and people got angry. We then signed a load of players people were excited about and got relegated. The moral of the story is: whoever our promotion specialist manager signs in January, we should definitely have trust in the purchase and not get too angry before they've kicked a football for us.

Or pass to a team mate if the path was akin to the gutter lane in a bowling alley at ASTON VILLA. I don't care about what he does for Columbia, I know what he has done for Aston Villa. He started well and showed signs but quickly went down hill with a series of clangers aiding towards us conceding goals. The International game is totally different to the English League, and even him, himself has admitted that. I was someone who liked him and was a supporter so please come off it. It's my opinion. I happen to think a Colombian international midfielder would cut it in the championship. Out there I know.

John
We need a right back, two midfield players and a striker as a minimum. I think we need to take our share of PL loan players as cover (with a view to a permanent deal) and players such as Lansbury (Forest) and Woods (Brentford) have impressed me so far this season so they might be worth trying for on a permanent deal.
