They sign technically sound players with good footballing IQ. Well coached. Players and manager on the same wavelength. That kinda football you can sustain, build consistency. We were never ever gonna produce the bristol city and wolves performances regularly Was it good football them evenings ? Not exactly. It was emotional, fired up stuff. But you cant draw on that every day. When that isnt there which it wont be in most cases it comes down to how good at football you actually are. We arent that good. Was Dean Smith for me in december. Bruce does not instill a ruthless and strong mentality into his players, he is also among the most tactically inept managers we've had in recent times, in fact he makes Martin O'Neil look like Rinus Michels, it really is that bad. The team has no identity, no layers and no alternative ways of playing, we've simply relied on our spending power and hence moments of individual 'quality' to invariably get us to where we are. I can't see past the Bruce era being one big opportunity blown, I simply cannot see us winning the playoffs, we're going into it in awful form and Bruce's 'old hat' ways are out of step with the superior managers he will come up against. 8 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In Asia we pay about USD 800 a season to watch a season. Considering the size of the Asia markets & in China, it’s important not to miss out. Bruce’s brand of football will not get us far.
