Dr_Pangloss
He was off the pace which impacted his execution of that one on one chance. But he looked good technically and his corners were very good, I expect him to do very well here. Edited August 7, 2016 by Dr_Pangloss

He took an extra touch when he should have just smashed it low and hard. Only excuse he has is that he was flagging but of anyone on the pitch I'd have expected him to just smash it, it would have been him.
Qwpzxjor1
Held his hamstring before he was subbed off. Hopefully just felt a twinge and came off as a precaution but always worried when hamstrings are mentioned.
heid3ster
If that's how he performs with no pre-season at all, I'm really looking forward to seeing him with full match fitness.
Butterfingers
Looked dangerous to me. I was surprised at his creating chances for others-I'd been led to believe he was very individualistic. He will become better with a run of games under his belt. No complaints rom me, very pleased in what I saw of him today
Ginko
Just want to add I thought he was great for the rest of the game, my only gripe was not shooting when he was one-on-one. On today's showing though, impressive stuff.
Nicho
Can't score of we don't pass to him.
DCJonah
Saw enough to know he's going to be valuable once fit.

One For The Road
We will need his goals if we are to get anywhere this season. Gestede will not score anywhere near enough and we don't have a midfield so a lot rests on this lad's shoulders.
Farlz
Can't wait to see him when he's fully fit. His set pieces are lovely.
It's Your Round
Nice to see him directing the play up front. Will be a very good player for us I think.
Pilchard
You'd hope a fit McCormack would have put away the chance he had and won us the game. Some decent corners too. Well, better than Westwood.
bobzy
He's nice technically. I think him and Ayew have potential to link up well together.
Bunnski
Looked dangrous and he'll bury the next one.
Guest av1
He played a couple of nice balls today that looked misplaced due to the lack of movement around him. Reminded me a bit of JPA in that sense, hopefully with a couple of additions we will see the best of him. His intelligence and creativity will be wasted playing alongside Gastede. Wonkertonk
Lovely, tidy and technically gifted from his showing today. I am hoping he can become a real asset, once match fit. Ayew and McCormack with Grealish and Green either side would be nice, in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with McCormack just behind Ayew, both of which have the ability to interchange. I appreciate we would need two very solid DM.

I can't wait to see how he performs in a team where Ayew is actually playing for the team.. I don't know what had gotten into Ayew today, he was playing like he was pissed off or something as he was on the wing but he never once passed the ball to McCormack. McCormack had a storming game today but he possibly could have scored had one of our more creative players not blanked him all match.
VillaChris
Should've buried that chance in the second half.

Personally I would say he is technically more gifted than JPA and I'm looking forward to a lot more from him- decent enough start all things considered
