Loan to end of the season. Few papers running it so someone's been tipped off. May be at the game tonight (that's me speculating).

Aston Villa are close to completing the loan signing of Arsenal right-back Mathieu Debuchy.

The 30-year-old is thought to have agreed a temporary switch until the end of the season after deciding against a move away from England.

talian giants Roma were keen on the French international but Villa boss Remi Garde has promised him regular game-time to help boost his chances of featuring for his country in the forthcoming European Championships.

Villa need cover at right-back with Alan Hutton currently injured and Debuchy is seen as the ideal fit.

Garde watched the stopper in action during his time as Lyon boss. He made over 250 appearances for Lille before moving to Newcastle in 2013.

I thought he was more likely to move to Roma but he would be a very good signing for us. Could it be that our boss got his friend Wenger to twist his arm for us?

Wonder if we could flog Hutton now.

Is there any more team than us that is run by people who don't follow football or haven't watched him since his time in Rangers who might be swayed by him being the Scottish Cafu and all?

As mentioned in another thread QPR seem terribly run, almost as bad as us, so they might be up for paying him 50k a week on a 5 year deal.

If we could flog Hutton, Lescott, Guzan, Nzog, Senderos and Gabby this would be a great transfer window, and if we added Sane, Debuchy and Remy (even on loan), this would be the best window since the Brian Little Draper and Milosevic window.
