Popular Post Monkeypuzzle Posted August 29, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted August 29, 2022 My main positive at the moment is that I genuinely believe that our current squad is the best we have had in my time as a Villa fan (30+ years). The obvious problem is that they are not playing to their potential, the formation doesn't suit them and the tactics and leadership are lacking. However, there are very few players that I feel are simply not good enough for us. We have a huge number of quality youngsters coming through, our first 11 is very strong on paper and I can't remember ever having such a strong bench. It is not going to take a huge amount of spending (on players or management) to see us rocket up the table. It just requires action as soon as possible. And I read somewhere that we are the most positive fanbase in the league (obviously whoever wrote that did literally no research and probably thinks Aston Villa is like the love island Villa where everyone just bangs and lifts heavy things whilst looking great).
