Popular Post Skruff
Has my complete support. We're improving for every game. You can only fix so many problems at once. And at Villa there are many. You need to steady the ship before you start sailing, and thats exactly what he's doing. Too little to late, so be it. He's not at fault for the mess we're in. People speaking as if it would be 3 certain points if he made subs earlier. Why would he make subs when we're looking the closest we've been to winning a game all season? It might as well backfire, messing up the balance of the team . When(if) we go down, I still want him here. Blasterpocket68
He was the wrong option after Sherwood, he is here now so we have to get behind the team. Not he's fault were crap he is a manager with NO experience hired by a poor board making poor poor decisions time and time again not the manager to get us out of the championship!!!! On paper, every game is winnable. Lets have a look at the Garde games: Man City & Arsenal at home-Not realistically winnable Southampton & Everton away-Nobody expected anything from those either. Watford at home-Nobody has beaten them in 5 games since-Not the easy winnable game that many on here make out Newcastle away-Nobody outside VP gave us a prayer but we ended up disappointed with 1 point. Today, I would expect & have hoped to have won-Unlucky not to. I disagree that there were plenty of winnable games-Out of 7, we would have hoped for more than 3 points but we are improving. Too little too late probably but no manager out there is going to work miricles with such a poor squad. We are bottom because we are one of the 2 worst teams in the league, no game is automatically winnable when you are playing against sides who are more confident, more organised and more experienced in playing with each other. We are still progressing and the team are growing in stature by the game, albeit slowly but what do you expect? We are still on course to spring once we get that vital first win-It is a fighting chance at best but nothing has changed on that front. Garde has managed to stop a lot of the rot. Before he arrived, most would have been happy to have just a fighting chance.

As I've said, sacking him now will not yield anything, it's too late, he was just the wrong appointment in the first place. Going by your logic anyone we could've got would likely have been the wrong appointment.

So funny how just because we NEED to win the guy gets it in the neck when we don't. How can some people see all kinds of improvements and others want him sacked ? Wierd game, football. It is mind boggling to me how some can be critical. How many of those that think Garde is doing a bad job thought we were already relegated when Sherwood went? The situation we were in was almost unprecedented in the league. Low morale, low confidence, record matching least number of points, unfit, unprepared and disorganised players, massive uncertainty and disinterest at board level and an ingrained sense of inevitability all the way through the club. No manager, whether it Garde, Allardyce, Mourinho or Guardiola could have come in and got the results or points that it appears some may expect. long term results aren't built on quick fixes. Fix the confidence, fix the fitness, fix the morale, fix the lack of togetherness, fix the attitudes and get them used to a system - the results will improve. Which, slowly, is what we are seeing. I do hope we get the win soon though, because I feel his work deserves it and it really would be nice to survive as difficult as the task is.

Reivax_Villa
I said two months ago that he wasn't the man and unfortunately i was proved right. We need to stick by him now because he's going to be here until we at least get relegated. A lot needs to happen at this football club before we get back up into this league.. Starting with the chairman and the board. Edited December 26, 2015 by Reivax_Villa
villianusa
15 shots on target in the last two game is a massive improvement, sadly we only have one forward who can seem to score. I thought Gestede played well today, but Kozak needs to be on the bench to give him pressure.

Have you jumped forward a year in a time machine or something?
terrytini
There can be nothing easier than saying he was the wrong appointment. The odds on any appointment succeeding, or doing well enough to look ' right' are hugely outweighed by their converse. Even said at the time of appointment it is far easier to say its wrong than right. Even more so now.

useless
Please go get that first win and deliver me from this sadness. I'm so fed up, but beat Norwich and things will be looking better.

When it doesn't win I'm so clever, except her chances were one in thirty odd and mine were twenty nine in thirty odd. Even supposing where we are now is ' proof' of anything. Which it isn't.
Hanky
Going to have to start rolling the dice. It's probably to late to be fair but I'm not sure about leaving three of our main attacking outlets on the bench in a game like this.
