Every single pass, move or attack of his in the first half seemed to be micro-analysed and shoe-horned into the pre-existing opinion that he's shit / greedy / lazy / doesn't want to be here* (*delete as appropriate) It was only in the second half where he was actually very good did we see more positive comments. If it's like that on here, perhaps it's fair to say that it's like that in the crowd too? Yes he's been greedy, and yes he doesn't always play the right pass, but I don't think his effort can be faulted and he really does have it in his locker to make things happen. Popular Post Chicken Field Posted September 11, 2016 Popular Post Share Posted September 11, 2016 I do not get the criticism of him, I do honestly believe that all the hate he gets is from fans that just don't like him because of the way he looks (his facial expression), that is the only explanation I can find. He was BY FAR our best player last season and could easily have left in the summer, he stayed and has not cried about it yet (though I'm sure if he reads some comments on here he will leave straight away). Fans have been shouting about having players that show passion, Ayew shows it in abundance, maybe to much sometimes, he gets annoyed when loosing and tracks back with intent. He may be egoistic, but so are most of the good strikers, you would not see Kane, Aguero, Zlatan pass in the positions where Ayew shoots, Ayew creates his own chances so deserves to be able to take some stupid shots. Even today in the first half when he wasn't particularly good, he was still our main man in every single attack, every time we looked dangerous he was part of the play. 2 assists hopefully shuts up the haters for awhile.
