The response: "Yes, forever!". That would seem over the top for a player not wanting to be here. Someone not happy at the club and wishing for a move elsewhere might just said: "Yes", or "Yes, for now. Who knows what'll happen in the future." Maybe his selfishness on the pitch isn't about putting himself in the shop window for a move, but a player wanting rather desperately to prove he was a worthwhile signing at Villa? I don't think anyone can question his workrate and commitment, just his finishing and lacking awareness of team-mates providing better options. Yes, he looks disgruntled all the time. I'd have taken him off and brought green on when he was shifted to right mid as that seemed to do even more damage to his already low levels of interest! Personally, I do not think he has the 'we' must win. It feels to me as if 'he loses' if he does score or be the hero. The team and the fans don't need that.
