Just shows what an odd club West Ham are that likes of Ayew and Arnautovic can be hugely influential players at their previous clubs and both have looked pub players for West Ham.

As much as I like Bilic, playing Chicharito wide left was a bit of a heads gone aswell.

I'd forgotten what an injustice that season was and how lucky West Ham were.

I'd be ashamed of being a Villa fan if we were were ever fined 5m for a football related activity. West Ham fans used it as a badge of honour and wore Tevez masks when they played Sheffield United a few years back.

It sickens me still especially with them being given that stadium. Horrible club with horrible fans and owners.

Yep.  Amazingly their first 5 managers spanned the years 1901 thru 1989.

Here's the list.

So in 31 years Syd King reached one final and lost it .

I guess i you're Kevin Spacey's grandad  you're not in it for the results.

Didn't Villa's first manager have the job for about 40 years?

Also good news about the fake claret and blues. Hope that porn dweeb's arse is doing 50p-5p.

On the face of it, this is a dreadful appointment.

Then again, I said Leicester appointing Ranieri after he'd lost to the Faroe Islands with Greece was a dreadful appointment too, so football can surprise you. But he sure as shit didn't deserve another shot after last season - it wasn't just the results, he looked like he'd thrown the towel in by about March.

His gutless attitude in terms of walking away was poor form

Really arrogant man who thinks he is above the Championship

I reckon Moyes will do alright

There’s a very good manager in there, expectations of WH now might be a good place for him to re-establish himself.

Like you I think he may surprise a few and do ok at West Ham, although I think if he fails at West Ham then that will be his reputation finished. I do think like MON he has a ceiling of where he can take a team, and that will be 6-8 spot, which most teams would be fairly happy with these days.

He was always going to struggle following Fergie at Man Utd, as a massive rebuild was needed as Fergies squad was ageing by the time he retired. After that Moyes made two bad career choices, the Spanish venture and the Sunderland job. Both were bad career moves for him. Sunderland have been stinking out the PL longer than we had, with a terrible owner in Ellis Short who like Lerner is coming to the end of his ownership and not looking to spend money on the squad. West Ham will be a lot better opportunity for him than Sunderland, and I think he will be given a bit of time by the owners to establish his style there, the big question is whether the fans take to him or not?

Talk about signing your own death warrant.

David Moyes is totally finished as a football manager, the Man Utd job broke him. He was then poor at Sociadad and monumentally shite at Sunderland. Didn't he give up at Sunderland after 3 games or something and say we are in a relegation scrap.

Apparently he wants Stuart Pearce as his number two. Alan Brazil on Talksport said that sounded like a great combination :crylaugh:
